Two-Factor Authentication & Sessions
Add a one-time-code second factor to your login, keep recovery codes safe, and sign out of every device when you need to.
Turning On Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a rotating one-time code on top of your password, so a stolen password alone is not enough to sign in. Set it up in Settings → Security: re-enter your account password, then scan the QR code (or type the secret) into an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, or Bitwarden, and confirm the 6-digit code it shows. From then on, that code is required at login.
Recovery Codes
When you enable 2FA, VidFlow gives you a set of single-use backup codes. Save them somewhere safe and offline — if you ever lose access to your authenticator app, each code lets you sign in once. You can turn 2FA off again from the same Security page if you need to re-enroll a new device.
Sessions and Signing Out Everywhere
The Security page also lists your sessions and offers a "sign out of every device" action. Use it if you suspect a session has been compromised, or after signing in on a shared computer — it signs you out everywhere, including here, so you will need to sign back in. It is the fastest way to cut off access from a device you no longer control.
