Pipeline Stage 2: Script
Learn how to generate, refine, and approve a full production script using your Ideation outline as the foundation.
Generating Your Script
Click "Generate Script" to send your selected title to the AI scriptwriter. The model writes a full production-ready script broken into chapters, and the number of chapters scales with the target length you set in the project wizard. Generating the script costs about 3 credits in total — roughly 2 for the outline and chapters and 1 for the hook — and you can regenerate any single chapter without re-running the whole thing.
Editing and Refining
Every line of the generated script is editable directly in the Script editor. Click any paragraph to enter inline editing mode, or use the rewrite controls on a chapter to ask the AI to regenerate just that portion without touching the rest of the script. Editing the text by hand never consumes credits.
Writing the Hook
The hook is the opening that decides whether viewers stay past the first few seconds. You can generate or rewrite a hook directly in the Script stage for 1 credit a time, trying a few angles until one lands. Because the hook is written against the real script, it stays in step with the rest of your chapters.
Script Versions
Every time you generate or significantly regenerate the script, VidFlow saves a version snapshot. You can view the version history from the "Versions" dropdown above the script editor and restore any earlier version with one click. Version history is retained for 30 days from the date of creation.
Approving the Script
Once the script reads exactly as you want it, click "Approve Script" to lock this stage and proceed to Visual Bible. The approved script text becomes the canonical source for voiceover generation, shot planning, and the final production render — so take the time to proof it carefully before approving.
