Quick Mode vs Director Mode
The first decision on every new project: let VidFlow run the whole pipeline for you, or step through every stage yourself.
The Choice You Make Up Front
When you create a project, the wizard asks "how much do you want to direct?" — and your answer picks one of two ways to work. Quick mode is the hands-off path: idea in, video out. Director mode opens up the full pipeline so you can shape every stage yourself. You choose the mode when the project is created, and it sets how that project behaves from then on.
Quick Mode
Quick mode is a one-button auto-run. You give it a starting idea, and VidFlow moves through Ideation, Script, Visual Bible, Voiceover, and Production largely on its own, making sensible choices at each step so you do not have to. It is the fastest way to a finished video and the best starting point if you are new to the platform or want a draft to react to. Because the run charges as it goes, make sure you have enough credits to cover it before you start — a typical run floors around 100 credits.
Director Mode
Director mode exposes every panel in the pipeline. You generate, review, and approve each stage in turn — picking the title, editing the script, tuning the Visual Bible, choosing the voice, and planning shots before the final render. It takes longer than a Quick run but gives you control over every creative decision. Choose it when the details matter and you want to steer rather than supervise.
Picking the Right One
There is no penalty for either choice, and both produce the same kind of finished video — Quick mode just makes more of the calls for you. Mode is set when the project is created, so if you want to work the other way, create a new project in the mode you want. Many creators use Quick mode for a fast first draft and Director mode when a video needs a careful, deliberate pass.
